Macroom is renowned as one of Ireland’s most picturesque ‘market towns’ and the gateway to West Cork! Macroom Food Festival celebrates this history and showcases the wonderful artisan food producers of the area and all around Munster over three delicious days in late September.

Since 2012, events such as a Vintage Tea Dance, an eight-course tasting extravaganza, Teddy Bears' Picnic, a Taste Trail around town, International Flavours Marquee, Comedy Capers, Macroom's biggest ever outdoor ceili, lots of live music, entertainment and fun and a massive outdoor food market take place each year at a variety of venues all around the centre of Macroom. Teenagers get competitive in the live outdoor Cook-Off. There is always plenty entertainment for the kids too with whacky street theatre, magic shows, carousel and kids rides and a children's disco.
