8.00pm Vintage Tea Dance

Foxtrot your way down memory lane at this old style vintage tea party. Ladies, red lippy at the ready, throw on those pearly and get ready to dance.
Refreshments provided, groups welcome.

7.30pm An Artisan Affair at The Riverside Park Hotel

Following its successful debut in 2014, An Artisan Affair is back with an evening of exquisite foods and flavours to showcase the vast array of Macroom's Local Produce.
The focus of this event is to present guests with a tasting menu of assorted foods which have been prepared by local eateries and producers, using local ingredients.
A Prosecco and canapes reception will precede a night of delicious foods and high class entertainment.

11.00am - 1.00pm Kids' Zone
Balloon making, face painting, Teddy Bears' Picnic and a hula hoop workshop with Hooparella! 

2.00pm – 5.00pm Early Birds' Taste Trail 

Follow the map and graze your way around Macroom, sampling bite size portions of delicious staples in each trail venue. Look out for the Taste Trail signs. Tickets €3 per tasting plate. Click for map & venues

5.00pm – 7.00pm International Food Flavours

A marquee in the Main Square is transformed into a world of flavour: the international community of Macroom come together to show off their traditional national dishes. Entry: one taste trail ticket or €3 will entitle you to a taste of three counties. 

7.00PM – 9.00PM Night Owls' Taste Trail

As above, look out for the taste trail signs to sample some sustenance and wash it down with your favourite tipple. Locations to be confirmed 

8.00pm - "Super Organic Me" Comedy show with Tomi James
An Organic journey of diet related comedy. Tickets €10. The Castle Hotel

11.00am – 6.00pm Monster Outdoor Artisan Food Market on The Square, Macroom

Tickle your taste buds at over 60 fabulous artisan food and drink stalls. A true showcase for the finest food and drink Cork has to offer. The market stalls are run by the producers themselves which provides a unique opportunity for visitors to learn first-hand about the products on offer. From gourmet burgers to pig on a spit, cheeses, baked treats, barista coffees and everything in between. 

11.30am - 4.00pm Macroom Food Expo Blas na hAite

11.30am - Coffee Cupping with Golden Bean, West Cork Coffee and Badger & Dodo

12.30pm - Floral Design with Hana of Hanako Floral Studio

13.30pm - Local Cheese Expo with Coolea, Sunview Goats and Toonsbridge Dairy

14.30pm - Panel Discussion with Joe McNamee, Denis Cotter, Jack McCarthy, Caroline Robinson & Ned McCarthy

Cracking Kids Fun & Entertainment on the Main Square, all day long. Balloon Magic, face painting, circus tricks

Schools Cook-off on the Town Square, Macroom

Students of Cork's secondary schools will battle it out to win the Macroom Food Festival 2016 Schools Cook-off. Each student must create or modify a recipe for a dish of their choice using only locally sourced produce. Finalists will cook their dish in the open air on Sunday 25th September, in front of a live audience. 

6.00pm The Secret Supper


For those who enjoy surprise and wonder in their food as much as they do in their lives. A Three Course Dining experience…but you don’t know where you’re going until the night itself.
Meet at the Castle Hotel 6.00pm sharp
Reconvene after dinner for live music, festival awards ceremony and wrap party.
